Is MCP available to connect today?
The first version is live at https://www.manimlabs.com/mcp. Use OAuth in a compatible custom MCP/app client, sign in to ManimLabs and choose the permissions you need. Widget and download support depend on the host. Full authenticated ChatGPT acceptance is still pending.
Who owns a project made from chat?
The authenticated ManimLabs account owns it. OAuth clients receive only the approved access and can be disconnected without deleting the project.
Do I need a paid plan or Desktop Agent?
Tool permissions follow the current plan catalog. Basic scene edits and native rendering have different requirements. Hosted MCP native rendering is not available yet; the existing editor Desktop Agent remains separate.
Can I use it on mobile or share scenes?
The website editor and a client's MCP Apps support have separate mobile capabilities. Private project sharing from the MCP tool set has not passed acceptance, so use the existing website sharing flow where your plan permits it.
